The 3rd annual Gender Joy Art Show is a community based, non juried art salon where women, non-binary, trans, and gender expansive people are invited to showcase the joy of their unique identity. New in 2026, YWCA Duluth partnered with the Program to Aid Victims of Sexual Assault (PAVSA) to raise awareness about sexual and gender-based violence and highlight the power of healing through art.

The show will be installed on May 3rd, 2026 and celebrated with an opening reception on May 7 from 5 - 7pm. The reception will include a button making art activity focused on gender joy, sexual assault, gender based violence, and MN ERA resources, a music performer who embodies the mission of gender joy, and free refreshments. YWCA Duluth also plans to partner with Zeitgeist to show a gender-based violence documentary during the show’s run to increase awareness building about the impact of gender based violence on women and the LGTBQ+ community.
