Readiness and Resilience Grant Announcement

PFund Foundation began mobilizing an emergency response to the occupation of the Twin Cities and Minnesota on January 5, 2026. The escalating violence and occupation by the federal government led to an outpouring of community members and organizational partners requesting emergency assistance to support community members who had been kidnapped, terrorized, and threatened by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Individuals, families, organizations and businesses across the USA, and especially in Minnesota, have been impacted.

In response to the emergency requests, PFund staff members launched an emergency response campaign. In partnership with the Minneapolis Foundation, PFund has awarded $100,000 to 16 small-businesses owned by or rooted in the LGBTQ+ community in the Twin Cities.

This grant support cannot make up for the losses these businesses faced due Operation Metro Surge, but it aims to provide enough support and runway back to normalcy. Please visit and patronize these important parts of the LGBTQ+ commercial ecosystem.
