Section I: Grant Recommendation

PFund foundation began mobilizing an emergency response to the occupation of the Twin Cities and Minnesota on January 5, 2026. The escalating violence and occupation by the federal government led to an outpouring of community members and organizational partners requesting emergency assistance to support community members who had been kidnapped, terrorized, and threatened by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Individuals, families, organizations and businesses across the USA, and especially in Minnesota, have been impacted.

In response to the emergency requests, PFund staff members launched an emergency response campaign and were awarded $100,000 from the Minneapolis Foundation. To facilitate a timely response to these emergent requests, this fund will not go through community grant review. The Minneapolis Foundation restricted funds to businesses in Minnesota, and provided the application form and application review rubric used by the staff. All of these small business leaders align with our mission to support LGBTQ+ individuals, communities, and businesses in Minnesota.

PFund Foundation is requesting an electronic motion to approve the March 2026 slate of Readiness and Resilience Fund grantees in the amount of $100,000 listed below.
