PFund awards $7,000 in grants from Bisexual+ Fund
The board of directors and staff of PFund Foundation are pleased to announce four general operating grants to organizations serving bisexual, pansexual, omnisexual, polysexual, or sexually-fluid communities. The 2023 Bisexual+ Fund grantees are:
Bisexual Organizing Project | Minneapolis, MN | $1,000
To build, serve, and advocate for an empowered bisexual, pansexual, fluid, queer, and unlabled (Bi+) community to promote social justice.
LGBT Center of SE Wisconsin | Racine, WI | $3,000
To empower SE Wisconsin to create a safe and inclusive home for LGBTQ+ communities.
Equality South Dakota Institute | Brookings, SD | $1,000
To advocate for the promotion and protection of LGBTQ+ rights in South Dakota through education and outreach.
Lost&Found | Sioux Falls, SD | $2,000
To provide programs, training, and services to prevent Bi+ youth and young adult suicide and to support the vitality of the Bi+ community across South Dakota.
Barb Farrar, the executive director of the LGBT Center of SE Wisconsin, remarked, “This is the only grant we know of that supports our Bi/Pansexual community exclusively. It is timely because the number of people identifying as Bi/Pansexual is growing fast and yet, they are often misunderstood and left out of both the LGBTQ+ and heterosexual communities. This grant will fund our support groups and the events we hold all year for our amazing Bi/Pansexual community. Thank you!”
