Congratulations to the 2026 Equity Fund Grantees!
Minneapolis, MN – PFund Foundation is proud to announce $80,000 in small business grants to sixteen LGBTQ+ BIPOC entrepreneurs in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. Each organization will get $5,000 each in funding and participation in the FY26 Equity Fund Cohort Program, with monthly business education and networking sessions facilitated by PFund, and a membership in Quorum, the MN LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.
Funding for the FY26 Equity Fund Program was provided largely by the Minneapolis Foundation, with additional support from Steven Walker, the Hugh J. Anderson Foundation and the Bigelow Foundation.
This year we had a total of 44 applications that were submitted and reviewed, 16 were selected to receive funding. Of the 16 selected, 6 are returning organizations and 10 have not received an Equity Fund grant before. The community review panel was made up of 18 volunteers, 100% of which were BIPOC and LGBTQ+, including one board member, and two volunteers from Wisconsin.
The Equity Fund program was launched during the pandemic to support struggling LGBTQ+ small businesses. Its success has seen multiple businesses thrive, add jobs, increase pay, and strengthen the queer economy in the Upper Midwest.
