Theater in the Round's Mini Queer Series - “How to Catch Creation” Opening Night

Theater in the Round is proud to celebrate the ways in which theatre has been a welcoming space for Queer people and in their 74th season 3 shows featuring Queer stories are running in succession from 1/16/26 - 4/19/26. This “Queer mini-season" is a testament to the theaters commitment to highlighting marginalized voices, especially during a time of great political and cultural attacks on Queer rights in America. These shows represent a range of expressions for what it means to tell a Queer story- from Queerness being part of an essential narrative to Queerness simply being 1 part of the complex identities of the humanity of a character.

“How to Catch Creation” is a beautiful show that intertwines the stories of four Black artists in the Bay area and how all of them have been impacted by a Black, Queer, feminist writer from the 1960s. It delves into themes about unique family structures, identity, creativity, and joy. January 16 to February 8, 2026 - Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30pm | Sundays at 2:00pm. Tickets available 12/2/25 - Learn more and get ticktes: How to Catch Creation | Theatre in the Round Players
