The first annual Northeast Wisconsin Coming Out Day Celebration is an inclusive, community-building event designed to foster belonging, visibility, and support for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies. The event is being hosted by the Northeast Wisconsin Rainbow Collective (NEW-RC). A new organization working to provide safe, inclusive, and intersectional spaces for collective joy, connection, and empowerment of LGBTQ+ people in Northeast Wisconsin. NEW-RC is currently located in the First Congregational Church near Downtown Oshkosh. The celebration will take place in the spacious basement lounge, bringing together a diverse array of local organizations, faith communities, and resource providers to create a welcoming, affirming environment for the queer community. The celebration centers on resource access. Participating groups include local LGBTQ+ organizations, interfaith partners (including Unitarian Universalist and Wiccan/Pagan communities), and service providers like our local food pantry, queer-friendly counselors, and public health representatives. Learn more and follow NEW-RC on Instagram and Facebook.
