Over the past 7 years, Sioux Falls Pride has provided Standing Proud scholarships to members of the LGBTQ2S+ community in South Dakota attending post-secondary schools. Sioux Falls Pride has awarded scholarships to more than 20 people totaling over $50,000! Recipients have ranged from first-year college students to doctoral candidates. Access to education empowers people to create opportunities for themselves and to make a difference in the LGBTQIA+ and Two Spirit community.

The Standing Proud Scholarship Gala is an event that honors the scholarship recipients, raises money to continue funding our scholarship program, and brings the community together for a fun evening including a silent and live auction, entertainment, food and drinks, and also is the annual meeting for our organization.
