Give to the Max is the single largest fundraising day in Minnesota for non-profits. As a community foundation (a foundation that raises the money that is then awarded out into the community) PFund Foundation relies on you to help make this fundraiser a success.
The secret to success for any organization is based on how many supporters will set up a Peer-to-Peer to fundraiser to share and ask for support from their networks of friends, colleagues, family, and social media following. As the extreme Reich-wing movement is launching legislative, media, and literally physical attacks on LGBTQ+ populations, it is critically important we respond with our resources, our fabulous flare, and most importantly, our pride.
Set-up a Peer-to-Peer fundraiser on PFund Foundation’s GiveMN page and start socially sharing your campaign starting November 1st. All gifts will be matched in real-time on your page. So if you have a goal of raising $1,000 for PFund, you only need to actually raise $500!
Quick Tips for A Successful Fundraiser
The GiveMN template is easy to work with. You need only your fundraising goal, your message of why you support PFund, and any personal photo or imagery you want to share.
Visit the PFund page on GiveMN and select Fundraise. Enter your email and click “Get Started.”
Plug in your imagery, the summary of why you are supporting PFund Foundation, your fundraising goal, and the duration of the campaign should go until Midnight on November 20th. Then press publish and start socially sharing on November 1st!

Former PFund grantees or scholars love to share how their grant and scholarship made an impact in their lives and this fundraiser is a great way of paying it forward!
Many PFund volunteer grant reviewers have hosted fundraisers explaining that after reading all the worthwhile applications that they knew we needed to pool together more money to fund all of our incredible organizations, students, and businesses.
Tell your story. It’s as simple as that. Why does LGBTQ+ philanthropy move you and why should your network should chip-in?
Make it FUN! The most successful campaigns feature a challenge or incentive. Kevin promise that every donor would get a cute video of him feeding his beagle puppies a cookie. Lilly promised that all gifts over $50 would earn the donor a hand painted note card with their flower of choice. Damion pledged that if he reached $2,500 would do a polar plunge skinny dip for all his donors to witness.
There is no right or wrong way to fundraise. Have fun with this and remember why you are doing it.
PFund Foundation has been around for 38 years moving money to organizations and individuals that need it desperately. All grant-making is decided by you, community reviewers, not someone in a backroom. Right now we, ALL LGBTQ+ people, are in a genuine moment of crisis as voices of bigotry and hate are calling for our erasure, to rescind our rights, and in some extreme cases, our imprisonment or extinction.
