Welcome to the second session of the Equity Fund! We hope last month’s session on identity helped you to better articulate the ways your fabulous identity has led you to this pivotal moment in your entrepreneurial journey. We, at PFund and Quorum, believe that our community needs entrepreneurs that are authentically themselves to lead and grow businesses.
This month, we will be focusing on tools and strategies that all entrepreneurs should have in their back pocket. Our first activity will be for you to read this article on the 7 Habits of Highly Successful Small Business Owners on LinkedIn. Come prepared to share your strengths and the opportunities to grow.
When you filled out your application to be part of the Equity Fund and in this cohort, we asked you to draft a business plan. This might have been something you’ve done countless times or it could have been the very first time you thought through some of these aspects of your business. We are asking you to dig these out (or we will send them to you before the session), so we can talk more about them. Business plans are an essential part of visioning the business you want and hope for!
Lastly, we will be hosting a speaker to talk about you and how to maintain your business in a sustainable way, ensuring you are centering your own mental health, physical health, and a network of support in your community.
Below you will find all the information for this month’s session and more!
Key learning objectives for this month:
Empowerment and skill enhancement: Equip LGBTQ+ and allied small business owners with essential skills, knowledge, and tools to enhance their business acumen, leadership capabilities, and overall sustainability.
