Avenues for Youth presents: Building on Dreams, an afterwork social style event with no cost to register. With Kare 11 news anchor, Jason Hackett, as emcee, the event program will feature local community leaders, Avenues' advocates, and performing artists.
The mission of Avenues for Youth is to partner with youth experiencing homelessness to achieve their dreams. They do this by providing emergency shelter, short-term housing, and holistic support in a safe and nurturing environment. The overall goal of Avenues for Youth’s programs is that, upon exit, each youth moves into a safe and stable living arrangement, has the necessary tools to fully participate in our community, and makes progress toward self-identified goals. Each year, approximately 35% of youth supported identify as LGBTQI+.
